Lenovo IdeaPad vs Microsoft Surface Pro 4: The Fight Is On

In terms of pricing, expect the Surface Pro 4 series to be very expensive, with the bigger and top-of-the-range model to cost more than $2,000 (the high-end Surface Pro 3 configuration launched with a price of $1,950, so its successor is very likely to get past this threshold).

There have also been reports of Microsoft introducing 8GB RAM and 16 GB RAM variants of the Surface Pro 4.

The highly anticipated Surface Pro 4 will be rumored to launch on October 6 in an event organize by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT). As previously reported by VCPost, the Surface Pro 4 is alleged to run the Windows 10 operating system interspersed with Intel’s Skylake chips. Previous reports have claimed that Microsoft will offer the Surface Pro 4 in two different screen sizes, but retain the same form factor as its predecessor.

Memory-wise, the website further adds that storage options will be 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. There’s word that a model with a whopping 1-TB storage is being prepared as well. Microsoft will reportedly reduce the bezel size in the 12 inch Surface Pro 4, thus allowing it to pack a bigger display. In fact the firm is rumored to showcase the device with 14-inch display.

In keeping the form of its predecessor, Surface Pro 4 users will have the convenience of using Surface Pro 3 accessories. Windows 10, on the other hand, operates with muscle on desktop and transitions easily as a mobile OS thanks to Continuum. The Surface Pro 3 has a Mini Display port, a microSD slot, and a USB 3.0 port, whereas the iPad Pro doesn’t have all of these.

The Microsoft tablets support universal applications, which have been created by various developers, and these applications can be installed on any other tablet that runs on Windows 10.

Microsoft is expected to significantly upgrade the Surface Pro 4 and speculations about its hardware and features have been doing the rounds for the past couple of months. Such companies can develop and run their apps on many devices without the hassle of compiling and designing them many times.
