Lenovo launches cheapest 4G phone A2010 in India for Rs.4990

Lenovo India has made an exclusive partnership with Flipkart to launch its new smartphone called the Lenovo A2010 in the country.

Sharing on partnering, Amitesh Jha, vice president – Retail, Flipkart said, “We are happy to launch Lenovo A2010 – one of the most affordable 4G smartphone in the Indian market today”. The A2010 will have another white variant as well, however, the company is yet to disclose when that will be available for grabs. The 4.5 inch screen has a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and comes with two-point multi-touch, twisted nematic touch screen display that supports 16M colors.

Registrations for the Lenovo A2010 have been started. Interestingly, the Lenovo A2010 smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is fuelled by a 2000mAh battery.

It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP front-facing camera. The phone proudly boasts the title of “cheapest 4G LTE” smartphone and has some above average specs for the price it is offered at. It is powered by a 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU besides 1GB RAM under the hood. This phone is packed with a 2,000mAh battery, which the company claims can give upto 8.5 hours of talktime on 4G and can remain on standby mode for 11.5 days on 4G.

Speaking on the launch, Sudhin Mathur, director – Smartphones, Lenovo India said, “We at Lenovo are looking to bridge the gap between the latest technology and an Indian consumer by offering innovative and future-proof devices easily available to the masses at an affordable price”. The device will be available for sale on September 3.
