The next test for some will be the Oscars in February; those at the Golden Globes that don’t make feature films that are released in theaters aren’t eligible.
In his acceptance speech, the actor dedicated his award to the Native Americans represented in the film and indigenous communities across the world. Comedian Gervais has already apologized to people who may potentially take offense to his tendency to launch insults toward the star-studded crowd.
