Leonardo DiCaprio ‘should win Best Actor Oscar’ says Eddie Redmayne
Much like Mayo’s long wait to win another All-Ireland title, Leonardo DiCaprio’s quest to win an Oscar is something that has captured the public imagination in recent years.

Since that moment, Roman Burtsev’s life has changed forever.
“It makes for a great story – the idea that the Oscars have a grudge against Leonardo DiCaprio”, he said.
DiCaprio faced sub-zero temperatures to play Hugh Glass, a frontiersman who faces a grim battle for survival after being attacked by a bear.
One episode reportedly saw Burstev “begging on the street to attract a Leo-like level of wealth”, and another saw him undergo “biorevitalisation” procedures to smooth out his skin. Every one of Bryan Cranston for Trumbo, Matt Damon for The Martian, Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs and Eddie Redmayne for The Danish Girl is equally proficient and exciting to watch.
Fun fact: did you know Eminem won the Oscar for Best Original Song, with “Lose Yourself” from 8 Mile? I think it is pretty safe to say that he has the award in the bag.
Leonardo DiCaprio is “definitely going to win and should win” the Oscar for Best Actor next weekend, according to Eddie Redmayne. While he played the role wonderfully and wowed many audience members, it wasn’t enough to win him an Oscar. Then “The Aviator”, “Blood Diamond”, and “The Wolf of Wall Street”. “He’s a very good actor but I’m not sure we have strong opinions about who should win Oscars”.
So far, 4,500 people have agreed to meet up at The Spire on O’Connell St., Dublin on the night of February 29th to “go insane together” and celebrate DiCaprio’s win at the Oscars.
Many believe that this is DiCaprio’s year to take home an Oscar, and plenty of people will be rooting for him come Sunday, Feb. 28.
Last year, the engine was able to correctly predict 20 out of 24 winners, and this year, it states that the “Revenant” actor has a 73 percent chance of winning Best Actor. Burtsev first gained notoriety when the picture below circulated in January, drawing attention to his nearly Oscar-worthy looks. DiCaprio was nominated in 1994 for “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape”.
