Leonardo DiCaprio treats Maggie Smith with V-Day kiss

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards just so happened to fall on Valentine’s Day this year and, to help get the audience into the loving spirit, host Stephen Fry had a little fun with the crowd with some Kiss Cam action.

The 41-year-old actor kissed Maggie’s cheek when the “BAFTAs Kiss Cam” landed on them.

The best pairing by far, though, was Leonardo DiCaprio and Maggie Smith, whose moment took everyone by surprise.

In his acceptance speech, DiCaprio thanked his mom, Irmelin Indenbirken. I didn’t grow up in a life of privilege-I grew up in a very rough neighborhood in East Los Angeles and this women drove me three hours a day to a different school to show me a different opportunity. “It’s her birthday today”. Honoured”, he gushed. “To tell you the truth all this was not expected tonight, truly.

“I just didn’t know what was passing me, that’s all!” he later explained. Social media will be looking out for more Leonardo DiCaprio viral glory at the Oscars later this month – Leo himself will be hoping to finally go home with the Golden Man that’s proved so elusive.

Also joining in with the Valentine’s celebrations were Julianne Moore and Bryan Cranston who locked lips, while Eddie Izzard made a beeline for Rebel Wilson.
