Les Miles on Leonard Fournette status: ‘Won’t know until game day’
LSU HC Les Miles said that he was uncertain as to whether junior RB Leonard Fournette (knee) will be able to play against Jacksonville State on Saturday. The Heisman Trophy candidate injured his left ankle in mid-August and reinjured it during last Saturday’s 16-14 loss to Wisconsin.

“I think Leonard Fournette is a go”, Miles said.
LSU’s work horse suffered an injury to the same ankle back in summer camp, though Miles doesn’t believe the current issue is a long-term problem. A further update on Fournette’s status figures to be made available prior to kickoff.
Despite dropping the opener to the Badgers, Fournette enjoyed a very Fournette-like day as he rushed for 138 yards on 23 carries and also added 38 yards on three receptions.
Harris finished 12-21 131 yards a touchdown and two costly picks, one on the final drive of the game when it looked like the Tigers were putting together a game winning drive, but is his job safe?

Sophomore Derrius Grice is the likely starter if LSU elects to hold out Fournette.
