“We got a long way to go”. “I try to do the same”. He also made fun about how his coach Rex Ryan handled the party.

This is the 16th training camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford for the Bills.

Bills fans have been buzzing about one of the most anticipated starts of a Bills training camp in more than a decade.

“[Rex] gave me like a whole speech for about two hours”. “I felt like everybody took it out of context so I just canceled it”.

With a new coach, did any of the players notice a difference between this year and last year’s camp under former coach Doug Marrone.

“It was a blast, it really was”, McCoy quipped after the Bills’ first practice of camp. “I don’t know if it’s because it is my second chance or whatever”.

“I didn’t think it was that serious”.

Jerome Felton told the Buffalo News that McCoy should at minimum lead the NFL in rushing, and hopefully hit 2,000 yards or even break Eric Dickerson’s single-season record of 2,105.

The Bills are counting on McCoy to be the workhorse of a “ground-and-pound” run-first offense being introduced by Ryan and new coordinator Greg Roman.

The Bills acquired McCoy in March in a straight-up trade with Philadelphia, who got linebacker Kiko Alonso. “It’s something I bring together with teammates, but I didn’t do it this year”, he said.
