LeSean McCoy: Out for Sunday

Now Ryan is in Buffalo, and this represents his first opportunity to show the metropolitan area what he is building with the Bills, who are coming off a 41-14 drubbing of Miami.

“Will Sammy play, I’m not sure”, Ryan said, adding that McCoy “doesn’t look good”. Backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said his workload was about the same as Wednesday, when Luck took a rare day off. Hasselbeck said he was certain Luck would play. Even though Watkins didn’t get a ton of separation, Taylor trusted him and lofted a pretty pass in the second-year receiver’s direction.

The Bills have had promising starts before that they have not been able to sustain through the season. Their opponents on Sunday, the Giants, are 1-2.

After all, the Bills had already traded for McCoy and had Fred Jackson, Bryce Brown and Boobie Dixon on the roster.

Bills’ star running back LeSean McCoy is also out with a hamstring injury.

– If the way LeSean McCoy was speaking to reporters on Friday is any indication, the Bills could be setting up for having life without their top running back for more than just this week.

Jameis Winston had himself a nice game in Houston against the Texans, though his stats might not reflect it. Winston, who was named last week’s rookie of the week, was let down by his wide receivers in week three. The Bills had a tough time getting him involved in the first two games, but had little trouble against the Dolphins. He had one catch for 39 yards before leaving the game.

Of course, McCoy’s decision from the team’s perspective is helped by the fact that Karlos Williams is playing so well. After the game Sunday, head coach Rex Ryan had a few encouraging words about Darby.

Robert Woods continues to be the possession receiver, but Harvin slips right into Watkins’ role as a deep threat while also remaining a unsafe yards after catch runner on the short routes.

The way McCoy has performed while at much less than 100 percent gives Williams quite an example to follow.

– Unlike McCoy and Watkins, the Bills did have starting safety Aaron Williams at practice in a limited capacity all week.
