Leslie Jones gets celebrity support after website hack
A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security and its U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency told Deadline.com Thursday that its NY office “does now have an open investigation”.

ICE, as the agency is known, is a branch of the Department of Homeland Security.
The past 24 hours have been truly disturbing in the life of Leslie Jones, after a hacker invaded her personal website and released a wide array of personal information about her, including some personal explicit photos and also ways to contact her. “As a matter of agency policy, we are unable to disclose any details related to an active investigation”, the agency told NBC News in a statement.
After the information appeared on the site Wednesday, Twitter users took to the social media platform to voice negative opinions of the photos. This attack, which resulted in Leslie Jones’ personal website being taken down, came just one month after the comedian and actress suffered a similar attack carried out on her personal Twitter.
Last year, Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal was also forced to leave her position after a hack revealed embarrassing emails that included racially insensitive remarks about Barack Obama. Racist Twitter trolls had compared Jones to Harambe in July.
After the news of the hack broke on Wednesday, fellow artists and colleagues expressed support for Jones.
The hack of Leslie Jones’ website is even drawing attention from the Department of Homeland Security.

Jones’ comeback on Twitter was epic, with her tweets about the Olympics so amusing NBC hired her and sent her to Rio to live tweet the rest of the games. TMZ first reported Jones’ hacking.
