Lesotho teenager to catch up with royal friend – Prince Harry

Speaking to Sky News about his own mother and the legacy of Princess Diana, Prince Seeiso said: “I’m hoping that they are quietly laughing or quietly smiling that we’ve come this far”.

According to the Citizen, Sentebale was founded by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso in memory of their mothers.

“We shared a similar feeling of loss, having a loved one, in my case a parent, snatched away so suddenly”, the prince said.

A teenager who has struck up a lasting bond with Prince Harry during his visits to Africa will catch up with his royal friend today.

Harry also gave an emotional speech about children living in extreme poverty. “At the age of just 8 or 9, taking on the responsibility of caring for brothers and sisters, there was simply no time for being a child any more”.

The prince said it became apparent to him after his first visit that the question “wasn’t when but how quickly we could put in place something to help these children”.

Lesotho is one of the poorest countries in the world. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $4.5 million and again this year, all proceeds from the event will go to the charity.

Seeiso said later that Harry told him he had been very impressed when he first saw the completed centre. “He said to me I’ve grown up”, Mutsu said.

“They complement each other”. “She knew Harry cares hugely about it and so she cared about it, too. And me and the children of course”, she added laughing.

Other highlights of Harry’s tour will include playing in the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup, in Cape Town, to raise funds for Sentebale; a meeting with Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu; along with a succession of engagements to emphasize social problems facing young people in South Africa and endeavors to aimed at addressing them.
