McDougal’s appearance on CNN is something of a test run for what is expected to be a more incendiary broadcast on Sunday when the adult film actor Stormy Daniels – real name Stephanie Clifford – is scheduled to be interviewed, also by Cooper, on CBS’s 60 Minutes.

Over the course of their 10 month affair, McDougal claims that she and Trump were in love and she even considered that they might marry someday, despite the fact that he was already married to Melania at the time with a newborn son. “He said I was handsome like her, and ‘you’re a smart girl.’ There wasn’t a lot of comparing, but there was some, yeah”.

Trump has often been accused of dishonouring women in the past and tapes surfaced ahead of the presidential election in 2016 as evidence of his lewd takes on women but those did not stop him from becoming the president.
She revealed that they met in his bungalow where they had dinner and had sex. “She is furious with Donald and really struggling with everything Karen told Anderson”. “He would call me baby, or he’d call me lovely Karen”.
Though McDougal already had a level of fame as a former Playboy Playmate of the Year, the story of the alleged affair from the Wall Street Journal threw an even bigger spotlight on her. “I felt guilty”, she recounted. “I think that first night I was concerned because I didn’t expect we were going to go to a hotel room”, McDougal said.
