Let’s do the time warp again! Rocky Horror remake rocks
So what’s the new “Rocky Horror” going to be like? NBC’s The Sound of Music drew 18 million in December 2013, while Peter Pan a year later did half of that.

Reeve Carney, Broadway’s original Spider-Man, is very watchable as Riff-Raff, Frank-N-Furter’s creepy aide, though even he is mostly just doing what Richard O’Brien (who created the stage musical on which the movie is based) did in the role. Let in by his weird handy man Riff Raff they soon realise they are in the middle of a freakish convention and a party to celebrate the doctor’s latest creation, Rocky Horror. Cox absolutely commands the screen as Frank-N-Furter, channeling the spirit of the original while also making the character her own (Tim Curry, Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 film, plays the narrator in this remake).
This Thursday night, FOX is airing a new, two-hour adaptation of the cult icon “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.’ You missed that ‘Sweet Transvestite” didn’t you? Echoed McCartan, “The budget is much bigger than what they had in the original, so production took advantage of that and made this thing attractive”. Like Ortega, both young actors have a long history with Disney. “We looked at old Hollywood divas like Fay Wray – of course – and some of the scream queens, but also Joan Crawford, and Katharine Hepburn, and Bette Davis”.

Cox acknowledges that following in the high-heeled footsteps of Tim Curry, the original Frank-N-Furter, is a near-impossible task, but it has been made easier by Curry’s participation in the project. He’s so sharp and he’s so amusing and he’s exactly what you want him to be. “We knew it from the beginning that this was the person that gave us raison d’être to make this movie”. “The celebration of the fandom, the 41 years, the midnight screenings, the adoration, was just really important that we had that aspect that was connected as a character to this new piece”. The memorable performance of Susan Sarandon as Janet will be portrayed by Victoria Justice, who is mainly recognized for her role in the Nickelodeon series “Victorious“. I love you and all that you do. Cox, it turns out, had wanted to play the role ever since she first saw the film.
