‘Lethal Weapon’ TV Series Reboot Heading to Fox
The recent trend for downsizing movie franchises for the small screen shows no sign of abating, with Deadline reporting that Fox is planning to turn yet another of its properties into a TV show. Names like Furious 7 director James Wan and Henry Winkler (who produced the original series) are already attached to the project, along with NCIS:LA producer Scott Gemmell.

Riggs is a former Navy SEAL and Texas cop who moves to Los Angeles after his wife and baby died. There he gets partnered with LAPD Detective, Roger Murtaugh who’s recently suffered a “minor” heart attack and must avoid any stress.
The broadcast networks have been scrambling to grab movie titles for TV adaptations at a time when the talent pool for series development is stretched thin by the multitude of shows in production across cable and digital outlets.

Other reboots under development include “Galaxy Quest”, “Behind Enemy Lines“, “The A-Team“, “Urban Cowboy”, “Training Day” and “Rush Hour”.
