A reddit user, whose screen name is BlackPanther2016, decided they weren’t satisfied with the amount of screen time that the Joker received in the new “suicide Squad” film, and said that he plans on suing over the issue. It also introduces Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez) and The Joker (Jared Leto) to the DCEU. Now, co-star Margot Robbie is offering up an explanation. But in the movie, he’s mostly just a nuisance, less a master of anarchy and evil than a gangster dressed like a weird birthday party clown with bad tattoos. I’m just like, “please get it right, please get it right; please make all the things I love about that character evident on screen”…

Harleen eventually goes insane with her love for Mistah J, jumps in a Value-Added Tax acid and becomes Harley Quinn – Joker’s accomplice and lover. Will Smith gets the best lines and the most action as the risky sniper Deadshot, who will kill anyone for money, but also has a soft spot in his heart for his young daughter.
Jared’s role as The Joker was highly cut for the final edit.
“The backstory – though it was magic – they were flashbacks, they’re meant to be snippets. So there’s a lot, but it just didn’t make sense to confuse the present storyline to incorporate all that”. I have a hard time believing it’s the movie itself, but the substance of the film doesn’t seem to matter much here. I think not, and the sequels might be even better, with all the prerequisite groundwork laid by this one.
After the disappointing critical and commercial results of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. was hoping to turn their DC Extended Universe (DCEU) around with a strong showing for Suicide Squad.

Despite poor reviews that followed from the film’s opening weekend, Suicide Squad set an August record at the box office in Australia, earning over $3.2 million on opening day.
