Leverkusen and Tottenham draw 0-0 in Champions League
Lloris downplayed the importance of his sensational save which preserved a point for Spurs in their Group E Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

They conceded a 2-0 lead at home to draw CSKA Moscow on matchday one, which was followed on matchday two by a 94th-minute Monaco equalizer.
Spurs have done well to recover from their home defeat to Monaco when they last played at the national stadium in Brent, having taken four points from their trips to Russian Federation and Germany, but they must make home advantage count in their next European outing.
Another major blow for Spurs is the loss of centre-back Toby Alderweireld to a knee injury, while left-back Danny Rose is expected to be rested after being forced to turn out for England when Ryan Bertrand pulled up with a hamstring injury in the recent global clash with Malta.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested he will turn to Eric Dier to fill in for the injured Toby Alderweireld against Bayer Leverkusen. “Not much has happened yet in the group, so you get the feeling that it’ll really kick off against Tottenham”, said Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt.
“After a tricky first year [at Tottenham], he is now showing his real potential, and I hope he carries on in that vein with the possible exception of tomorrow night”.
“You need a bit of luck in that kind of action and this time I saved the goal”, Lloris told BT Sport. “I think we can congratulate everybody, we can enjoy this point because it was a tough game today”.
“We have to pick ourselves up”.
“We can pleased with a point”, Lloris added.
“But there was a lot of positives”.
“We’re still in the same position we were before the game, we’re still fighting”. True, the chances we created in the last few games, we could have had different results if we were more clinical and maybe more lucky. A single goal could determine the difference between advancing to the next round, so when Tottenham Hotspur visit Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena in handsome Leverkusen, Germany, expect both squads to bring it! “We are only missing Harry Kane, “.
As usual, there’s no exact timeline on a player’s return from injury since Pochettino doesn’t divulge that kind of information no matter how many times reporters ask.
