But a year ago tickets to the Super Bowl XLIX matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, climbed to more than $9,000 on average as game day drew nearer, TiqIQ noted.
The amount dollar amount of wagers on the Super Bowl continues to increase year after year.

“As Americans celebrate a milestone Super Bowl, they’ll also bet a record amount on the Big Game”, said Geoff Freeman, president and CEO of the AGA.
Levi’s Stadium is also a venue where Aruba Networks, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, has deployed beacons using Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0 in conjunction with the stadium’s Wi-Fi gear.
They are starting to fence the blocks on Super Bowl City for its scheduled opening on Saturday. The game will be live-streamed on CBSSports.com for people who are looking to avoid the record-setting crowds in the Bay Area.
But football fans looking to score tickets or just get a piece of the action, can expect to dig a little deeper in their pockets.
According to Priceline, flights into the Bay Area range from $313 to $531 and hotel prices vary from $65 to $899 per night in San Francisco and $95 to $1,499 per night in Silicon Valley.
