Lexus ES 350 and ES300h facelift officially revealed | Drive Arabia

Hoverboards and V-8-powered sports coupes aside, Lexus still rests much of its business on bread-and-butter products like the ES sedan. The model in question is looking sportier than its predecessor and it is coming with the standard LED headlights flanking the new front grille, the L-shaped taillights, a new rear bumper, rectangular exhaust tips finished in chrome and a revised color palette which now includes the Eminent White Pearl, the Autumn Shimmer, the Caviar and the Nightfall Mica. Along with new designs for the alloy wheels, new exterior colors are also offered.

The 2016 Lexus ES facelift should arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries before the end of the year.

The 2016 ES models bring Lexus’ Safety System+ technology suite, including pre-collision warnings, lane departure alert with steering assist, intelligent high-beams and dynamic cruise control. New trim options have also been included.

On the inside, the Japanese manufacturer’s full-size sedan can be beautified with Linear Dark Mocha wood, Illustrious Piano Black wood or Bamboo with a matte finish. A bit of equipment reshuffling means that equipment like the Mark Levinson sound system and the panoramic sunroof can be bundled with all available option packages.

There aren’t any changes under the hood, as the 2016 Lexus ES 350 has the same 3.5-liter, 268-hp V-6 mated with a six-speed automatic, and the ES 300h hybrid continues on with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motor combination that gets 40 mpg combined.

The company has not yet announced pricing or launch dates for either package.
