Another change for 2016 involves the GS 350, whose 3.5-liter V6 now produces 311hp and 280lb-ft (379Nm) of torque – up from 306hp and 277lb-ft (375Nm) in the 2015 model.
The Japanese brand has performed a series of modifications to its exterior design which is now getting a more aggressive spindle grille, updated taillights, bi-LED headlights and some tweaks made to the rear bumper. The park assist system that was optional on the previous model now comes standard along with Lexus’ answer to the smart key-a SmartAccess key card that fits in a wallet. With a powerful V8, sophisticated 4WD chassis and seating for eight, the Lexus LX 570 remains one of the few luxury utility vehicles that combine sumptuous luxury with true off-road capability. The new SUV also gets a slightly better fuel economy, up 1 mpg to 15 mpg combined, thanks to a new eight-speed transmission.
New standard features for the 2016 model year include a panoramic view camera, a larger 12.3-inch navigation screen, new multimedia with Remote Touch Interface and the Lexus Safety System+. As the name implies, this new variation is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering a total of 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
Lexus Australia says local specifications and pricing will be announced closer to its launch in December. Take a look at our photo galleries, and visit our pages on the 2016 Lexus GS for more.

For buyers seeking capability in all four seasons, Lexus’ all-weather-drive system will be available on the range-topping 2016 IS 350 and standard on the new 2016 IS 300 AWD, which will fill out the middle of the model lineup with its 255-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. This includes ten airbags, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
