Orient could be forced into the transfer market for another striker with Jay Simpson and Ollie Palmer the only experienced forwards available at the club.

United were playing their 3,500th game in the Football League, and took the lead at the Matchroom Stadium thanks to Derek Asamoah’s 62nd-minute breakaway goal.
The O’s had struck the woodwork on three occasions and it seemed only a matter of time before they gained reward for their greater possession but Asamoah struck to rock the home side just after the hour.
“On Saturday they had more than 30 crosses into the box and yet again their goalkeeper has played a blinder”.
Blair Turgott (Leyton Orient) wins a free kick in the attacking half.
“We knew what Carlisle were going to be about and to be fair, their game plan has worked”, admitted Hendon.
“They’re good professionals, they’re buying into what we’re trying to do and they know we’ve got a very strong squad”.
“I’ve got to say that I thought they carried out their jobs excellently”.
Leyton Orient will definitely be without forward Paul McCallum tonight (Tuesday) after he was stretchered off against Northampton Town on Saturday.
Hendon added: “Paul has had a scan on Monday and it has come back and there is a lot of medical terminology, but he is seeing a specialist on Wednesday afternoon”. I think it’s going to be a long term one sadly and we wish him a speedy recovery.

“We are devastated for Paul. I always have people in mind”.
