LG Action CAM LTE Has LTE Built In for Live Streaming
It will allow users to live-stream directly to YouTube (and other video sites) at 720p 30 fps, while a remote access feature, set to be available from July onwards, will allow it to be used as a CCTV camera for home monitoring.

LG has unveiled the LTE Action Cam, a cellular-capable, powerful, feature-ridden, waterproof GoPro killer. With a 1/2.3-inch sensor, 1.55µm-sized pixels and an ultra-wide, 150-degree lens, the LG Action Cam should be able to capture videos comparable to those grabbed by the GoPro Hero Session, which has similar specs.
LG has added a new action camera to the company’s Friend ecosystem. LG already has one camera in that lineup, the LG 360 Cam, which lets you take 360-degree photos and videos, also without a phone. It also supports USB Type-C 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The camera will feature an IP67 rating meaning that it is both water and dust resistant, making it ideal for the outdoors. The camera is backed by a 1400mAh battery which lasts for four hours of full HD video recording.
“We are committed to expanding the LG Playground ecosystem with both modules and stand-alone accessories, and Action Cam is one of many more that we plan to announce this year”, Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Co., said in a statement. “Action CAM is an example of the kind of innovation we will be bringing to market, devices that offer features unavailable in other competing products”. A fully waterproof case will also be made available in the third quarter of this year, LG says. LG will announce pricing and details of partner carriers at the time of release. The device also includes 2GB of memory, 4GB of built-in storage for its operating system, a microSD card slot for storage cards up to 2TB, and a 1,400mAh battery.
To be available in Light Gray colour, LG Action CAM will weigh just 95g and we should expect it to be available in United Kingdom in the next couple of months.

With a rating of IP67, the LG Action CAMLTE is completely protected from dust, sand and can be immersed in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. LG is planning to launch the LTE Action Camera in South Korea next month, followed by European markets and North America.
