LG confirms to Launch V10 successor ie V20 Smartphone next month
LG is going to launch a follow-up to the LG V10 within the next three months. Not long ago, we heard that a successor to the LG V10 should be released in September, and it looks like this will happen indeed. The revelation was buried within LG’s second-quarter financial results, giving more insight into the curious, arrived-out-of-the-blue V-series.

LG has confirmed that a new V series smartphone will be launched sometime this quarter. Nevertheless, considering its predecessor touted an impressive dual-lens camera – albeit a tad gimmicky – the LG V20 could follow suit. LG has thus hinted at the debut of the V20 or V11 smartphone this quarter. During its most recent earning calls, released today, the company announced a $132-million Dollars operating loss from its mobile division, with poor sales of the G5 to blame for the downturn. A September launch makes sense, after all; it’s in time for Christmas splurge season, and puts it in direct competition with other flagships launching at a similar time like the iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

With LG confirming the V-series smartphone launch in Q3 2016 itself, we will soon know what the company has up its sleeve. LG also attributes some of the lost to “increased marketing expenditures and somewhat slow initial sales of G5 smartphone”.
