LG G2 Marshmallow Update Wait Over

While LG G2 users will most likely not be getting the update officially, they can still update their LG G2 to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow using some of the custom ROMs available online. This is the first phase in an Android firmware update, meaning that the carrier is still talking with Samsung about building an Android M version for the plus-sized flagship. The update of the phone will also cover the new Android security patch level that was released in March this year.

While Verizon has already upgraded to the LG G3 Marshmallow software, other mobile carriers – AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular – have not updated their software system.

To install the update, you must have at least 2 GB of free space on your phone so that the update installs smoothly. The changelog notes that users should also backup data on the SD card before updating, as applications and data might get lost.

Verizon Wireless has released a software update for the Motorola Moto X 2014, named version 23.201.2, for bug fixes. Therefore it can take several days to arrive for all handsets so you may need to be a little patient before it reaches your A7000. However, if you are feeling impatient, you can manually check for it by heading to the Settings menu on your device. Did you update it to Android 6.0 Marshmallow?
