LG G5 launched in India, priced at $785

Update : Today, LG has launched their latest flagship handset, the G5 in India for a price of Rs 52,990. Buyers are also entitled to a free battery and charging cradle worth Rs 3,499, and can also opt for no cost EMI from Bajaj Finserv.

LG has managed to innovate in nearly every area for the LG G5. It was available for pre-order for over a week now but now, the device is available directly. All metal smartphone with great specs: LG G5 is the company’s first smartphone to offer an all-metal unibody.

However, the highlight of this 2016 LG flagship in the form of what LG is calling “LG friends”. The add-ons can be a replacement battery or a microSD card up to a whopping 2TB.

The Hi-Fi Plus module, co-developed by LG and Bang & Olufsen, is a portable Hi-Fi DAC which can be used as a standalone portable DAC or with the G5 to enable 32-bit audio playback. LG’s G5 is packed with innovation and new-age technology.

The device is accompanied with “LG Friends”, a collection of devices like LG CAM Plus, LG 360 CAM and LG 360 VR. It will be available in gold, silver and titan color variants. The phone has 5.3-inch display with a 3D Arc Glass feature which creates a gentle curve. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 820, Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset till date. It also has 32GB internal storage and a shell made of aluminium. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with its own UI on top.

LG G5 sports a 16 megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus and also houses an 8 megapixel front camera. The front facing camera module is of 8-megapixel resolution. It measures 149.40×73.90×7.70mm, and weighs 159 grams.
