LG G5 rumoured to launch in February
LG is one of the companies that prefer to launch their flagship smartphones in separate events rather than during major trade fairs like CES (Consumer Electronics Show) or MWC (Mobile World Congress).

According to a Weibo post, the LG G5 could be unveiled as early as February.
The leak comes from a Weibo tipster named Zealer who posted the specs.
A new report emerging from Taiwan has claimed that LG may launch its next flagship smartphone, believed to be dubbed G5 if following the company’s current smartphone nomenclature, in February.
Snapdragon 820, and a 21MP/5MP camera combo.
Whenever it arrives, the LG G5 will be a handset to contend with as the company has gained plenty of fans over the past few years. That’s a slight bump up from the LG G4 and LG G3, both of which had 5.5-inch screens.
Around back will be a 21-megapixel camera, which would pack in significantly more pixels than the LG G4’s 16-megapixel unit. The new model will focus on further improving the camera and on one thing the G4 missed out on biometric security. As for the front, it’ll have an 8-megapixel sensor that supports 1080p videos.
What would you like to see LG do with the LG G5 next year? This would certainly be an advancement from fingerprint scanning, if LG could pull it off. Rumors also suggested that the LG G5 will also have an Iris Retina scanner. But it’s certainly a possibility.
