LG has a new Friend in the LG Action Cam LTE

You don’t need an LG G5 to pair up to the Action CAM LTE – just any Android 5.0 Lollipop and above, or iOS 9 and up device.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, the Action CAM is equipped with built-in LTE connectivity, with users able to stream directly to sites such as YouTube Live via wireless 3G and 4G networks.

Yep. You can also use the 4G connection to turn the Action Cam LTE into a remote security camera for your home or office, or a live-streaming dash cam for your auto.

The LG Action Cam LTE can also record 720p HD videos at 30-120 fps.

Powering LG’s latest device is a Snapdragon 650 and 2GB of RAM, which allows the camera to shoot UHD (1,440 x 2,560) footage at 30fps, Full HD (1,080 x 1,920) footage at 60fps, and HD (720 x 1,280) at 120fps. The IP67 rating also makes it dust proof and sand proof, setting it up to be the flawless companion for an adventure that’s filled with action whether that be cruising the lake on a wake board while being pulled by a boat or riding the dunes on an ATV out in the middle of a desert.

A couple of months ago, LG announced a new upcoming gizmo for its Playground ecosystem – the LG Action CAM LTE.

“LG Action CAM LTE offers a new and exciting experience with unparalleled features and innovation”, said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company.

LG Action CAM will be available from today in South Korea followed by other global markets. The camera’s design gives it a more rugged build meant to be used constantly while outside, and although it does come with its own mount, LG does state that it is compatible with various third-party mounts as well.

We don’t have a price or date for availability here in Australia yet.
