LG launches X Cam in India for $299

It was first Launched at MWC 2016 in February but only started selling it globally in March.

South Korean electronics conglomerate LG on Friday launched a new X Cam smartphone in India featuring dual rear cameras. However, it also said to be sold online at a best buy price of Rs 18,999. As the name suggests, the X cam’s key USP is its camera. The phone is available for purchasing in the offline retail stores in India soon, and details about this smartphone are out by the Mumbai Smartphone retailer Mahesh Telecom. Considering the specifications it is offering, it isn’t the most powerful smartphone in the category, however the dual-camera setup is surely one-of-a-kind in this price range. It Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 1.14GHz octa-core processor.

Coming to the storage segment X Cam comes with 16GB onboard storage and this phone is capable of supporting 2TB with the expandable MicroSD card in the Hybrid SIM slot. The LG X Cam is sleek with thickness of 6.9mm, features a metal frame and plastic back. The beauty and excellence of the gadget get multiple when the camera shows its glory, both the front and rear camera are having the power of 13-MP and 5-MP with second sensor and a wide angle lens and a LED flashlight, having a very fantastic selfie experience and video calling. The front-facing camera is a 5MP unit. It is backed by a 2,520 mAh battery and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System as connectivity options.

Connectivity options on board the LG X cam include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio with RDS.
