Other changes for the G5 from the previous G4 handset include moving the power button to the rear of the phone, the integration of an improved fingerprint scanner and the repositioning of the audio keys back to the side of the phone.

A lot of the internal specs are generally what you can expect to see out of this year’s flagships, but clearly that’s not what makes the G5 a flagship worth considering.

Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play: This portable Hi-Fi audio player developed in collaboration with B&O Play supports 32-bit, 384KHz high-definition audio playback.

Another module, LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play, adds audio Hi-Fi audio capabilities to the G5 – and can also stand on its own as a portable Hi-Fi player.

The LG G5 is equipped with the new Snapdragon 820 processor that offers 64-bit performance and Adreno 530 graphics.

Furthermore, the G5 has an always-on display so you can check the time, battery status, and your notifications without waking the phone. We’re pretty anxious about the burden this can put on battery life, but LG claims that it’s only going to use.8% of battery per hour, though we want to see this in our own tests.

The new LG G5 comes with a removable battery slot and additional features such as a camera and a speaker that can be slotted into this area with the battery at the base of the phone. It has an inbuilt memory of 32GB and the smartphone has come up with dual rear cameras.

The LG G5 with Titan, Gold and Pink color options will be available starting April. One of them is a standard 16-megapixel unit, the other a wide-angle 8-megapixel unit with a 135-degree angle of view.

The 360 Cam connects to your phone and allows you to quickly upload your photos and videos to YouTube, Google Street View, or other places.

LG, meanwhile, designed the LG 360 VR headset to work with an LG smartphone that’s attached by a cable. There’s also a 360-degree camera.

One of the more unusual fun accessories will be an LG Rolling Bot, though it won’t be ready for market when the phone first appears. It can be controlled remotely over a Wi-Fi network, and the firm says could be used as a home security product. The latest in the LG TONE Plus Series, the LG TONE Platinum is a Bluetooth headset that has earned the Harman Kardon® Platinum grade for its superior sound quality. The G5 will have unbelievable new features. The new flagship smartphone features a modular design and an always-on display.

Apps launched with the G5 include the LG Smart Controller for operating and viewing real-time images from compatible drones and the LG Friends Manager for controlling the entire new range of accessories. “Smartphones are all the same…I’ll just buy the cheaper phone”, one slide said, reflecting how typical buyers think.
