LG will be launching its latest V20 smartphone in San Francisco today. Just about a month ago, LG dropped hints that their latest flagship is something users really need to look forward to, but no other details were given other than that. The phone is successor to V10 which was launched a year ago.

And it’s not only the OEM’s own models that have been afflicted by the issue – the three Nexus devices that helped Google manufacture have also had encountered numerous cases of boot looping.

When it introduced the G5 at Mobile World Congress back in February, LG convinced us that modular smartphones were the future, so we assumed all future LG phones (high-end ones, at least) would have one. The report mentions that the smartphone will come with 4GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery, enough to keep its lights on.

Since the V20 is successor to the V10 smartphone, it is also expected to get an always on secondary display.

According to eyewitness accounts the LG V20 won’t come with swappable modules, which LG calls “friends”, but it will have a removable battery.
