LG V20 to be first non-Google smartphone with Android 7.0
Tech giant Google on Tuesday announced rollout of the latest version of its Android operating system – Nougat – for Nexus devices. As of now, only the Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X are getting the updates, but it should start rolling out to other Android devices soon. However, this update is only available to certain devices, and these are the ones that belong to Google. It will be a while before non-Nexus phone buyers will be able to experience the Android 7.0 Nougat. When Android 7.0 Nougat officially dropped on Monday for Nexus devices, a few were missing from the list.

Google’s Nexus devices are nearly always the first smartphones and tablets to receive version updates first, and that hasn’t changed with Nougat. We’ll have to wait and see.
Marshmallow introduced the Doze feature, which would secretly put your phone to sleep if the screen was off and it had been lying still for a certain amount of time.
Unfortunately this isn’t so much a tool but more of a tooltip, in which the instructions will point users towards the Android website that they can launch on their iPhones or iPads and just follow the instructions. However, like previous releases, we’re expecting the OTA roll out to take as long as a couple of weeks, so eager Nexus owners may not get the update right away. It is strongly recommended that the users should back up their Android device before attempting for an update. With Android Nougat, user can control what tiles go where, and accordingly place them to fit their needs. The update will also come with a Data Saver feature for data conscious users that will block background apps from accessing cellular data.
Google has added features like Seamless updates, File-based encryption and Direct Boot to ensure better security to it Nougat users. If you’re the impatient type, however, you can skip ahead and download the latest Android hotness right now. However, the new update should not be expected to have major changes in the system.
