One of the features that they are excited about is the enhanced audio recording/playback capabilities of the phone, which was speculated before. Today’s announcement suggests that LG will unravel the V20 with bits of information regarding its features prior to the official launch of the phablet.

It seems that LG is pulling out all the stops when it comes to audio technology for its upcoming LG V20, perhaps trying to shift the focus away from the now overly competitive smartphone display and camera technologies. However, Google has just recently confirmed that the LG V20 will in fact come out as the first handset to ever carry the confirmed Android 7.0 Nougat operating system right out of the box.

“The collaboration with LG provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase B&O PLAY’s expertise in terms of audio technology, design excellence and user-centred philosophy. We’re pleased to continue this long-term partnership with ESS and bring best in class audio to LG V20 users”, said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company.

“With the new LG V series smartphone, users will experience a new premium sound experience that they have never heard before”.

LG’s smartphone sector is struggling.

We will have more details about the new LG V20 smartphone when it is made official next month, the handset is expected to be made official at a press event on the 6th of September.

The LG V20 is now set to be unveiled on September 6 in San Francisco and in the company’s home country, Seoul, South Korea, on September 7.

The shots look a lot like earlier leaks of the phone, but where previous images only had one visible front-facing camera, these show the dual-lens camera that we were expecting the LG V20 to have.
