Over the weekend it was widely reported that One Direction star Liam Payne had split from his girlfriend Sophia Smith, however, nobody seemed to know what had prompted the couple to call time on their romance. According to Hollwood Life, the 22-year-old heartthrob is totally heartbroken as his girlfriend wasn’t ready for things to be so serious.
In an exclusive chat with Hollywood Life, an insider reveals that with the current situation, Sophia sees only two paths in front of her – either to get married or break up and live her life to the fullest. “She chose the latter because she’s still so young”. One Direction even cancelled a concert in Belfast on 20 October, saying that Payne had suddenly fallen ill. The 1D singer has requested everyone to respect their privacy and stop speculating regarding their relationship.
