Light aircraft crashes in Spain after pilot collapses
A Spanish woman who had never flown a plane was forced to crash-land it after her pilot husband lost consciousness during the flight.

The woman suffered contusions, and the pilot was pronounced dead why emergency services reached the scene, however officials say he might have died before the plane even crashed. The woman was also guided on the phone for about 90 minutes before she attempted the emergency landing.
In released recordings of their conversation, the controller can be heard reassuring the woman, “You’re going to continue and you’re going to land without any problem, okay?”
Spain’s aircraft controllers union have said that she was fortunate that the controller on duty knew how to fly the plane.
Spanish media reported that the man and woman were married.
In recordings that were published in the Diario and confirmed by the USCA, the controller asked the woman for the plane’s altitude, and she answered that it was at 10,000 feet.
Two different plane have been dispatched to information the lady to an airport in Sevilla, however she missed the runway and crashed into an olive grove close by.
When the woman realised her husband was unconscious she called a friend who alerted air traffic control, according to officials.
She was flying above the clouds at three, 700 meters and was initially confused and distressed as she took the controls.

The Seville airport was closed from 1:20 to 3 pm local time on Monday while the midair drama played out.
