Light rain lingers to start the week

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Wednesday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers. A south wind will bump our temperatures into the mid-70s again Monday. We won’t have to worry about that kind of rain event around here tonight, but I do see the possibility of a few scattered showers.

Saturday: Partly sunny. High temperature around 65 degrees, low temperature around 48 degrees. Highs will top out around 80 and any rain becomes more isolated in nature by the evening. We’re back in sweatshirts as north-northeast winds drop highs to the low 60s for the rest of the week with lows in the upper 40s. It will be breezy at times with highs around 70.

Lows will dip into the mid-60s at night. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 67. There is a chance of drier air moving in late Tuesday that would bring rain totals down. The combination will give us a lot of clouds this afternoon with the chance of a shower.

Along with a stronger dominant east breeze, we will see another Sunday with high risk of rip currents along the beaches.

Monday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Low 51F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

Sunday forecast: Few showers possible
