Light snow today, big temperature swing ahead

Wednesday night: A 40 percent chance of showers before 10pm. Visibilities may be reduced to 1/2 at times between 6 pm and 9 pm, so be careful if driving!

Good afternoon everyone! We saw a couple rounds of snow this morning that led to hazardous driving conditions. West wind 15 to 17 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour.

Cold air and a chance for snow returns to Oklahoma this weekend. Wind chill values are expected to be between 10 and 20.

Winds will begin to pick up throughout the evening, moving in at 10 to 20mph with gusts up to 30mph. Snow accumulations will be light around 1 to 2 inches but anything that fell can be blown around causing a slow commute.

Today: Snow showers. High near 24. Notice that I didn’t say “high” in the low 30s, because temps will actually rise a bit more Thursday night.

“Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 23”, the update said. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Wednesday: A chance of flurries before noon.

Even if we start our Thursday with a peek or two of sun, the day should be cloudy overall, with temperatures reaching the low 30s (0° Celsius) by mid-afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 15.

Highs will stay locked in the teens and 20s this week with wind chills frequently in the single digits.
