Ligue 1: Fabinho expects Monaco stay
The Spanish Liga club are understood to be ready to pay up to €10m for the Argentina global, who has not featured in Mourinho’s matchday squad since being an unused substitute for United’s opening Premier League fixture at Bournemouth.

The Argentina global was linked on Sunday with interest from La Liga side Valencia who are on the lookout for a replacement for Arsenal-bound centre back Shkodran Mustafi.
Mourinho has selected Antonio Valencia ahead of Matteo Darmian for all four of United’s competitive fixtures this season, and would not stand in the way of the Italy worldwide should he choose to seek guaranteed playing time elsewhere. Southampton centre-back Jose Fonte and Monaco left-back Fabinho are still being linked.
But nothing will happen unless Matteo Darmian agrees to leave Old Trafford in the coming days.
Southampton captain Fonte, 32, is keen on joining United but The Saints are yet to receive a bid.
Both Fonte and Fabinho are represented by Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes. Manager Claude Puel is confident he will remain at St Mary’s.
AS Monaco are waiting on a call from Manchester United this week over Fabinho.
The defender said: “With the Champions League, it won’t be bad to stay at Monaco”. The 22-year-old Brazilian is likely to remain with the Ligue 1 side at least until next summer.

Sheffield United forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been linked with a £1million move to United as they attempt to strengthen their squad ahead of the Premier League International Cup.
