Wayne also accuses Williams and his brother of keeping a £62.5 million advance which was supposed to be given to the Young Money label. In addition, Tunechi claims that he has a statement from Nicki’s camp that says her producers were never paid for music they submitted. The site also reports that Weezy claims he has a separate written complaint from Nicki Minaj’s producers, who also say they were shortened on due fees.
But Cash Money doesn’t want to hear any of it. The label has reportedly given YM over $90 million in the form of advances, royalties, and recording costs for a bunch of Young Money artists. Young Money was set to release 21 albums over seven years, and only delivered thirteen.
What’s Baby’s defense? He claims that Lil Wayne hasn’t fulfilled his end of the contract, because he hasn’t completed the necessary number of albums.
