Lil Wayne’s Miami Mansion Raided, Assets Seized by Police

According to legal sources, Wayne refused to pay a $1 million bill from a personal jet company earlier this year on the grounds that he never signed a contract for the services. The cops explained they were there to seize certain assets inside the house because Wayne had not paid a $2 million judgment to Signature Group, a jet leasing company.

To recover that cash, Signature Group asked Walsh to authorize a “break order”, basically giving them permission to storm Wayne’s house – with or without permission – to obtain his assets. Initial requests to repo possessions from the rapper were denied because the company could not prove that the rapper had $2 million in assets inside the multimillion dollar waterfront property.

According to Local10.com, police excuted a levy warrant in order to satisfy debts that Weezy owes.

Neither Lil Wayne, nor a representative for the rapper, has yet to comment on the raid or repossession.

Antar Vaughan, Lil Wayne’s attorney in the case, hasn’t responded to an email or phone message from New Times.

The last time police invaded Wayne’s home was back in March when he was a victim of swatting. It’s unclear if the 33-year-old New Orleans native was home when police arrived.
