Lin-Manuel Miranda is officially leaving his starring role in his Tony / Grammy / Pulitzer-winning musical, Hamilton, on July 9th.

He will begin regularly playing Alexander Hamilton on July 9.
Miranda confirmed the date of his final performance date (July 9) and talked about the plans to film the show with reporters at a breakfast event this morning. Munoz seemed the obvious choice to step into the title role, since the actor is already Miranda’s understudy and alternate in the production, regularly playing one performance a week.
