Lindros could get long-awaited Hall of Fame call
As of last year, Lindros was the only Hart Trophy victor (1995) eligible for the Hall who had yet to be inducted since Blackhawks goalie Al Rollins captured the award in 1954, some 62 years ago. Larionov is part of the Hockey Hall of Fame’s selection committee. He played eight seasons for the Flyers, with 659 points (290 goals, 369 assists) in 486 games.

Every skater except Lindros who has been MVP since 1945 is in the Hall of Fame already.
Today, Lindros got that call confirming his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Some quick thoughts on the rest of the 2016 class. But he was a force in the Soviet Union and on their national team, including in his three Olympics appearances where he had 28 points in 22 games. Lindros returned to Philadelphia for the 2011 Winter Classic Alumni Game, assisting on a LeClair goal. Prior to the 1993-94 season the Flames traded him to Hartford for a draft pick. Pat Quinn was elected into the builder’s category.
Makarov’s career extends far deeper than just the 384 points he accrued in the NHL, a league he joined in the twilight of his career.
CHRIS OSGOOD: Won the Cup twice as a starting goalie and again as a backup, but benefited from playing on talented Detroit Red Wings teams.
Friction with teammates and management dotted Lindros’ career, and he never won the Stanley Cup.
It was only his second year in the league.
Ron Hextall, who was also part of that trade and was the Flyers’ goalie during the 1997 Cup Final run, argued Lindros would have won two championships like Forsberg if he were on that team that moved from Quebec to Colorado.
Quinn’s time behind the Toronto bench between 1999 and 2006 was their most recent run of sustained success where they were a legitimate Stanley Cup contender.
Recchi recorded 1,533 points in 1,652 career games.
Quinn passed away in November, 2014, following a lengthy illness.
