Lindsey Graham drops out of 2016 presidential race
It was only a matter of time before the weaker ranking candidates would begin drop out of the Presidential race like flies.

“Today, I’m suspending my campaign for president”, the SC senator said in a video posted on YouTube, stating that it had been “a campaign we can be proud of” and that was focused on USA security.
He added: “I am suspending my campaign… but never my commitment to achieving security through strength for the American people”.
Graham announced his bid for the Republican nomination June 1 near his hometown of Central, SC. His campaign was notable for his heavy emphasis on foreign policy and advocating a tough approach toward the Islamic State with American troops on the ground. “Today, most of my fellow candidates have come to recognize this is what’s needed”.
But Moore said that based off conversations with the small campaign staff, Graham himself and some top backers would likely take the holiday break before making any big announcements.
Graham told CNN his effort was severely damaged by his inability to gain access to the main stages in any of the GOP debates.
Senator Graham often promoted his experience in the Middle East, saying he made 36 trips to the region, and said the next U.S. president must have a deft understanding of the conflicts there.
Senator Graham has an incredibly strong and loyal grassroots network in SC.
Graham did make headlines over the past six months, battling out with Donald Trump and his fascistic, anti-Muslim statements.
The surprising thing is that Graham was in the race as long as he was, given that he was polling alongside George Pataki and Jim Gilmore, who are even less well-known than Graham.
Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney also lamented losing Graham’s “unique voice”, but said the race will go on. Republican Senator John McCain, his closest friend in the Senate, immediately endorsed Graham and campaigned with him throughout New Hampshire.

Graham’s exit frees up a significant chunk of the South Carolina Republican establishment to get on board with other candidates. “I would not be surprised if his campaign mobilized on behalf of another candidate”. “You have honored me with your support”, said Sen.
