Lindsey Graham urges Republicans to drop Trump endorsements

Donald Trump’s most recent comments about a federal judge were publicly condemned by Gov. John Hickenlooper and other Colorado Democratic leaders on Wednesday, saying Trump’s remarks were “racist”. Trump has proposed deporting undocumented immigrants and building a wall to block off the southern USA border that he says the Mexican government would fund.

“I do not feel that one’s heritage makes them incapable of being impartial, but, based on the rulings that I have received in the Trump University civil case, I feel justified in questioning whether I am receiving a fair trial”, Trump said Tuesday in a lengthy statement.

Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Colorado, who represents a Colorado swing district that Democrats hope to win in November, rushed through a scrum of reporters when asked about Trump’s comments.

WASHINGTON — Three of Donald Trumps female supporters will announce on Thursday a new super political action committee to help the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

On Wednesday, Walker reiterated his stance, and told reporters that Trump needed to be “called out” for saying Curiel could not handle a case on Trump University because of his Mexican heritage.

Boozman’s Democratic challenger, former federal prosecutor Conner Eldridge, earlier Tuesday criticized Boozman for his support of Trump and urged the incumbent lawmaker to join other Republicans in condemning the comments.

Ryan spokesman said the speaker did not “urge” the party to fall in line behind Trump but stressed the importance of unity.

“I am not going to defend these kind of comments because they are indefensible”, Ryan said.

“There are so many ad hoc groups of women who back Trump, and what we want to do is harness their energy and give them a home”, Serkes said.

“There’s no reason to raise that”, Trump said.

“Paul Ryan had to come out and say those are racist comments”, Hewitt said.

The judge, Gonzalo Curiel, was born in IN, but Trump defended his attack against Curiel’s Latino heritage nonetheless.

“I know you want to build a wall and all (so do I), but the guy was born in this Indiana, In this country, we’ve never held where an American citizen was born, or where their parents or their grandparents were born, against them”. Judge Curiel is not from Mexico. The California La Raza Lawyers Association does advance the interests of the Latino legal community and works on issues that matter in Latino communities more broadly.
