Vonn broke Moser-Proell’s record of 62 overall World Cup wins last season and, with today marking her 72nd overall victory, she is closing in on the best men’s mark of 86 held by Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmark.

Vonn trailed Gut by 158 points coming into this weekend’s races but has reduced her deficit to 38.
“It annoys me”, the German said. They had to lower the start because of insufficient snow quality in the upper section. “It was tough with lots of bumps”. I knew many girls had problems so I chose to ski a rounder line..
Vonn’s first streak was between February and March 2009, and the current streak dates back to March of 2015. The skier from Liechtenstein lost balance in her final run as her left ski was airborne.
Yurkiw returned to the resort where she made her World Cup debut nine years ago, finishing 58th in a downhill.
