The 30-year-old Vonn did not disclose which ankle she broke.
Despite her latest injury, Vonn is optimistic she will not be off the slopes for too long. She was in New Zealand to training for the upcoming ski season.
The next Winter Olympics won’t take place until 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea, which means she can take a cautious approach. Vonn is now 30 years old and will be 34 during the next Olympics.

Vonn’s most notable injury, perhaps, came in 2013 when she had to be airlifted from the mountain during the world championships. However, she wasn’t able to make it to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russian Federation due to a knee injury, reports Sports Illustrated.
