LinkedIn launches major mobile app revamp for iOS and Android
On iOS – the platform we tested the new mobile app – the feed is more accessible to users that don’t regularly use LinkedIn. The app is now available as a free download in the App Store and Google Play Store. The fact that LinkedIn code-named their new App project “Voyager” should tell you something about their goals with the new technology. This will be easier to do thanks to the main feed that has been completely remodeled into the new mobile app. Moreover, the company announced that the number of emails sent to users will be reduced. The company has designed the app with five tabs on the screen which, as previously mentioned aim to provide a non-cluttered user experience.

The company hopes to attract more users and more importantly to keep its current users by developing a new design for mobile phones that operate on iOS or Android systems.
LinkedIn has finally launched their rebuilt mobile app for Android and iOS. “We set out to make it easier than ever for you to connect with and learn from people who can accelerate your professional success”. It is also where they can see posts, which can be customized according to preferred topics.
Me, your profile page, surfaces all activity related to who views your profile and who comments on or shares your posts.
Another major upgrade is the messaging tab that displays conversations in much more of a casual “text-y” private message feel format than the traditional email feel of LinkedIn messages. Sync your calendar and it will prep you for the next meeting with the profile of the person you’re meeting, shared connections and shared interests. People simply don’t visit LinkedIn to read the news and be social. “Build and nurture your professional network, stay up to date with the latest business and industry news, and find your next dream job”.

Outside of the feed, there’s a “My Network” section, which serves up suggested people you may know, as well as cards with bite-sized updates about your connected friends, such as work anniversaries and new jobs. It allows you to initiate conversations more quickly. You can download LinkedIn from the App Store for free.
