Links for Life kicks-off Breast Cancer Awareness month in Kern County

Elizabeth kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a big way Thursday night – uniting survivors at its annual “Power of Pink” event.

To date, Yoplait has raised and donated 5 Million Dollars (JMD$5M), which has helped the Jamaica Cancer Society to continue their work and offer free and subsidized screening to women. It’s an option for women with early stage breast cancer. The recommended age to get a mammogram is 40, unless your family has a history of breast cancer – then it depends on what your doctor recommends.

11,000 Utah women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone.
