The financial facet of Barcelona is in such disarray, that despite winning the Champions League last season, the club made a financial loss from being in it due to the bonus pay-outs they had to finance for members of the playing staff. “Messi and Cristiano have already passed their peak”, added Ronaldo, who won the award in 1996, 1997 and 2002. “It’s impossible for me to leave in the coming years”, he said, according to Sky Sports.

“If I could bet, it would be on Neymar, for everything that he is doing”, Ronaldo said.

Federation Internationale de Football Association announced the finalists for the 2015 Ballon d’Or award on Tuesday. Muricy was quoted in ESPN Brasil: “It’s no surprise to me, he prepared for this and had the opportunity to to show that he is different, that too without Messi”.

Suarez arrived from Liverpool following disciplinary issues at last year’s World Cup in Brazil that led to a lengthy ban, but he proved manager Enrique made a shrewd decision in tempting the striker from Merseyside.

Suarez also claimed that Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi is happy at the club and a move away from the Nou Camp is nonsense.
