Lions Face Seahawks on Wildcard Saturday

The game will decide the NFC North champion and leave the other team with the No. 6 seed. A new staff is coming, for the third time in three seasons.

After a come-from-behind effort which fell short in a stunning 34-31 loss on Christmas Eve, the Seahawks will look to rebound just in time for the NFL Playoffs.

Having said that, there has been far too much inconsistency and, quite frankly, two disasters (Tampa Bay and Green Bay) in which Wilson half looked like a replacement player. It also means that the Seahawks were able to avoid playing the Packers in a first-round game.

The Seahawks did have two particularly concerning problems in their kicking game, though.

“Obviously guys don’t like to lose, they are competitors”, said Caldwell. Thomas tweeted, “we would have a first round bye I guarantee you that”. The disappointment was evident in the Detroit locker room. Sure, the division was there for the taking and the Lions failed to seize the opportunity but their season isn’t over. It’s finally time to get ready for the playoffs.

“We’re looking forward to getting this thing started”. “We’ve got to move forward, and we know that things have got to change around here”.

The Detroit Lions are in the playoffs.

The Lions’ star signal-caller rarely put Detroit in bad situations, and made big plays in the fourth quarter.

That is what will make Saturday’s playoff game so interesting as the Seahawks – who have been one of the league’s most consistent postseason participants – host a Lions team that hasn’t been here all that often.

In Week 8 against Houston, the Lions faced a tough Texans defense and couldn’t gain 300 total yards. Wagner is the best linebacker in today’s National Football League.

The Detroit Lions (9-7) are riding in a three-game losing streak against the Giants, Cowboys and recently the Packers.

Two of those losses – against the Giants and Cowboys – were double-digit defeats.

The weather will definitely be a factor in this game, as is every January playoff game in Green Bay. That includes the interception he threw Sunday night against Green Bay. “We need to be on the younger guys and ourselves as well so this doesn’t happen again because it’s not a good feeling”. With Skittles off tasting the rainbow somewhere, the load this year fell to Thomas Rawls, a second-year player from Central Michigan who was sidelined with a leg injury for seven games early in the season.

Said Reed, on his Twitter account: “We just in the jungle sometimes it gets out of hand but we still brothers”. Double-digit losses, whatever, man. We move onto the next one.

So the Lions still believe, even with their disappointment, that they can still contend. As the home team, the Seahawks will likely be called the favorites, because playing at CenturyLink Field is a distinct advantage for them.
