Lions take Ohio State OT Taylor Decker with No. 16 selection
Dahl slid considerably from his projections, some of which had him being drafted as high as the second round. He joins a Lions team that is rebuilding their offensive line through the draft.

The Detroit Lions have selected Alabama defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in the second round of the National Football League draft. The Lions addressed another pressing need by taking Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker in the middle of the first round 24 hours earlier.
“We’re going to put him out there, probably start him at defensive end, but you know, we’re going to use multiple fronts this year like we always have”, Quinn said.
Projected to go comfortably in the first round, Robinson was one of three Alabama players to fall into Friday’s picks. “So, it was a goal of mine, it was a goal of coach (Jim) Caldwell’s, and I think we followed through on that”. If you’d like to see a bevy of scouting reports on Dahl, we have that here.
Killebrew is an explosive player that had 22 reps on the bench press, a 38 inch vertical leap, and a 127 inch broad jump. Killebrew said that Detroit coaches told him that they didn’t necessarily like him and flat out said they didn’t think they were going to take him.
WSU had two players (DL Xavier Cooper, Cleveland Browns’ third round pick, WR Vince Mayle, Cleveland Browns’ fourth round pick) selected in the 2015 draft.
Their top two strong safeties from past year are gone, and even though the Lions added a Rafael Bush and Tavon Wilson, they’d like to groom a hard hitter to play next to Glover Quin. “So, once I got like eight years I played up, and then after that never played my age again, so she never had to do it anymore”.
The former SUU corner was taken by Tennessee in the fifth round on Saturday, and during a conference call, he was asked how much he knew about the Titans – he couldn’t say very much.
Williams said he played every linebacker spot in college, and the Lions will hope he’s in the mix at SAM. “I’m still kind of geeking out a little about it here in the vehicle”.

“We were obviously a run-heavy team at Ohio State, especially with Zeke (Elliott), so I’ve gotten a lot of run-blocking reps over the last few years”, he said.
