A liquor store owner just hours away from retirement was found shot to death Sunday night in Boynton Beach, according to police. During his last shift on Sunday, family members gathered to prepare a celebratory dinner. Arezoumandifar was the previous owner of the store and had stayed on after its sale to help the new owners get started, reports the Sun Sentinel.

The cash register was open and had been emptied.
During that robbery, Arezoumandifar ran after the robber and tried to grab him. Arezoumandifar was injured trying to reach into the vehicle as the robber put his foot on the gas pedal.
Police say they later learned the victim was 79-year-old Ali Arezoumandifar of Jupiter.
Two suspects in a 7-Eleven robbery were also believed to be involved in the October robbery at the Liquor Market, but there was insufficient evidence to arrest them in connection with the crime.
In regards to last month’s robbery, police reportedly identified a woman and a man in what was reported to be a similar style robbery that took place a 7-11 convenience store.
During that crime a man stole lottery tickets.
This is the second recent robbery at the Liquor Market.
One of them now has an alibi, given that he is still behind bars, while the other one is considered a person of interest in this case, and has been interrogated by investigators.
Police said there was no surveillance video at the store.
