Listen to the Soundtrack of President Obama’s Summer

We know that because he included those diversely appealing artists on his summer playlists posted on Spotify Friday. President Obama and his family are departing for a two-week vacation to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.

There’s more playlists coming from the White House, so be sure to follow them on Spotify if you want to hear the musical soundtrack of our nation’s leaders. “Tombstone Blues” – Bob Dylan 5.

You can listen to the POTUS-playlists here. One of Obama’s favorite rock groups, the Rolling Stones, are featured on the playlist with “Gimme Shelter” and Bob Marley is featured with a song flawless for a man in his position, “So Much Trouble in the World”.

Lyrical foreshadowing aside, Obama and/or his crafty aides did accomplish the most basic promised goals: one playlist for the barbecue, another for the bedroom. At night it’s all about Frank Sinatra, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Mos Def and Miles Davis. Obama impressed a crowd at New York’s Apollo Theater in 2012 when he sang Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” with accurate pitch.

And of course President Obama worships at the church of Queen Bey. The second however makes our inner fan girls squeal – “Superpower” by Beyoncé and Frank Ocean.

Their hits were personally hand-picked by the United States President himself as the White House officially joins Spotify.

The move is part of the launch of a new channel on the music-streaming service-Spotify.
